How to Help
Volunteering at CalvaryVolunteers are essential to the success of Calvary's programs and residents. These dedicated supporters let the women at Calvary know that someone cares about them and help Calvary provide the best possible services to women in our community. And our volunteers say that what they get back is much more than what they give. Calvary's community outreach coordinator works with groups and individuals, women and men, youth groups to seniors to match your individual interests and talents to the needs of our programs and the women we serve. We hope you will find a way to get involved. These are just a few ideas to get you started. If you have other ideas or gifts to share, please contact us. We would love to work with you! Welcome women home in the evening. Answer the phone. Stuff envelopes for a mailing. Prepare packages
of toiletries for women moving in. Evening volunteers do a little bit of everything.
Evening volunteers are an important source of support for the staff at Calvary Women's Shelter during the busiest time of the day. These dedicated individuals come in as little as once a month or as often as once a week. Most evening volunteers stop by after work and spend two or three hours helping out. Each program's needs vary each evening, so this is a great opportunity for individuals who are flexible and enjoy helping in many different ways. |
