Hope Awards Dinner

Last Tuesday night over 150 people came out in support of Calvary’s Ninth Annual Hope Awards Dinner. These folks, some past supporters of Calvary, some new friends, celebrated some local heroes, heard the inspirational story of one woman who graduated from one of Calvary’s programs, and enjoyed a rousing silent and live auction.

Honoree Phyllis Caldwell, ED Kris Thompson, honoree Kate Carr and honoree Shonda Schilling

The auction was truly one-of-a-kind and included a vacation home in Mexico, a private helicopter tour of Northern Virginia, and awesome Red Sox and Capitals tickets and memorabilia. Greta Kreuz of ABC7/WJLA-TV emceed the event, and three amazing women- Shonda Schilling, Kate Carr, and Phyllis Caldwell were honored. These three women have committed themselves to improving the lives of women and children in their communities and around the country, and we were honored to share their inspirational stories with Calvary’s supporters.

There was such a great energy in the room! It truly was a great night for a great cause. One of the attendees had said that she had never been to an

Overall, we raised over $110,000 in support of Calvary’s programs and services! If you were able to join us for the event- thank you for your support of Calvary and the women we serve! If not, check out photos from the fabulous night here, and we hope to see you next year!
