Calvary Captain Countdown – 20 days

The Calvary Captain Countdown starts today!

With 20 days until the Walkathon on November 20th, we will count down with 20 stories from our amazing team of Walkathon Captains! Read on for our first one…

Laura Kirkpatrick is celebrating her Halloween birthday today! And she will be celebrating again in 20 more days, when she walks for the first time to end homelessness in her hometown of Washington, D.C.!

She began with Calvary in January of 2009 as a Pathways overnight volunteer. As a volunteer, she already gives so much to Calvary, but she says walking for Calvary “is the least that I can do to show how grateful that I am that Calvary’s services are available in Washington, DC. I am looking forward to seeing so many people gathered in Washington DC in support of the homeless and in honor of the many wonderful social service organizations such as Calvary Women’s Services who work so tirelessly to help the homeless find shelter and safety.”
