Calvary Captain Countdown – 5 days!

You may remember Jaclyn Fontanella from last year. A former Calvary staff member, she had the pleasure of being the team leader for Calvary’s 2009 Walkathon. She’s happy that, through the Walkathon, she still has a chance to give back to Calvary. In her second year at the Walkathon, she’s also looking forward to see the event from the perspective of a walker now that she’s no longer organizing the Walkathon as well.

Jaclyn remembers the sight of the Walkathon last year: “the Mall is just a sea of people who are all there to make a difference and it’s just really amazing to be a part of. Homelessness in D.C. is such a huge issue and this walk brings it to the forefront. I’m just happy to do my part and make as much of an impact as I can!” In her dedication to homelessness, she’s also an occasional freelance blogger on the End Homelessness page of Change.org. Take a look!
