Calvary Captain Countdown – 19 days until the Walkathon!

Susan on a recent Costa Rica vacation

This is Susan Awad’s second Help the Homeless Walkathon. An evening volunteer, she walked last year after being recruited by Calvary’s volunteer coordinator.  She loves “seeing all the different groups who have come out to support the same cause (and seeing all the dogs!)” Susan plans on rounding up her own group to walk with her – she’s trying to get her whole soccer team to participate!

Most of all, Susan loves that the Walkathon is a way “to bring attention to the issue of homelessness and have a way to get my friends involved in a cause that I care about.”

Fun fact about Susan? Today is her birthday! “I always look forward to everyone getting dressed up and celebrating my birthday with me!”

Happy Birthday Susan!

Help her reach her Walkathon goal (here)
