Today is Do More 24!

It’s an exciting day in Washington, DC – today is Do More 24, a regional day of online fundraising for nonprofits! The goal is to spread the word about all the great work that’s being done in the DC area, promote good causes, and raise some money.

You’re a supporter of Calvary because you know about all the work we do to help women out of homelessness. You know about the healthy meals, the hardworking case managers, the Life Skills, Education, and Arts Program (LEAP), the dedicated overnight and meal volunteers, and the wonderful, safe, and bright new building on Good Hope Road! Calvary is unique. Our small, intimate environment allows for individualized attention for women. Our philosophy empowers women to take control of their lives and to plan their futures. Don’t you think that other people would want to support Calvary, if they knew what you know?

So here is what you can do to spread the word about the great work we’re doing and raise some money: ask five people to support Calvary today. Reach out to people who have never heard of Calvary, or those who have been with us for years. Let them know that this is important to you – and that their support is vital for the women we serve.

Here are some helpful resources for more promotion: you can donate, share our Facebook status, retweet us, or share our Do More 24 page – via email, social media, your g-chat status, etc! There’s no wrong way to spread the good word about Calvary – and every little bit counts.

Today is all about rallying together for a cause – putting together our collective energy to shine a light on the great work that happens at Calvary everyday!
