New Partnership with Taproot Foundation

Calvary Women’s Services is pleased to announce a new partnership with Taproot Foundation, who generously awarded Calvary pro bono services valuing $55,000 to expand its thriving volunteer program. Their generosity allows Calvary to increase community awareness in its new neighborhood of Anacostia and continue to expand its visibility in the greater Washington DC area.

The volunteer program at Calvary is a component of the services Calvary offers to women who are homeless. Volunteers form personal relationships with women who are residents of Calvary’s programs, and offer guidance, compassion, and support. Increasing both the number and the consistency of volunteers will contribute to the success of women who are working to change their lives in our programs, and Taproot’s generosity will enable Calvary to meet this critical goal.
