Get Ready for Giving Tuesday

save-the-date-for websiteMark your calendars now – Giving Tuesday will be here is less than one month! This global day of giving on Tuesday, December 1 is one of the biggest online fundraising events of the year. No matter where you may be, as long as you can access the Internet on Giving Tuesday, you can participate with us.

You can support Calvary Women’s Services in the weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday by sharing social media posts with your friends and followers. Include the hashtag #GivingTuesday in Facebook posts and tweets, and be sure to tag Calvary Women’s Services. Your posts can go a long way! On December 1, help Calvary reach our fundraising goal by sharing this link to our Giving Tuesday page: http://bit.ly/calvarygivingtues.

Every donation that we receive for Giving Tuesday will support Calvary’s housing, health, education and employment programs for women who are homeless. It could be just the gift that a woman needs to give her hope.

This year, Giving Tuesday organizers are introducing another unique way for donors and volunteers to share their stories. #MyGivingStory is a social media campaign and contest that asks people to tell their personal giving stories and share why they support their favorite organization. Do you have a special giving story about Calvary? Click here to submit it before November 24! You could help Calvary win a financial prize if your story is selected as one of the best.

Giving Tuesday shows the kind of impact that we can have in our communities when we all give together. Thank you for supporting the women at Calvary and reminding them that they are cared for during the holiday season.

If you are interested in filling a leadership role as a Calvary Captain – individuals who engage in peer-to-peer fundraising for Calvary – or as a social media ambassador for Giving Tuesday, please contact Amanda Griesser.
