Calvary Women’s Services Partners with The QED Group, LLC to Raise $12,000 for Giving Tuesday

Calvary Women’s Services yesterday participated in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and celebrate generosity worldwide. Thanks to the efforts of a number of dedicated volunteers and donors, Calvary raised $12,000 that will directly support its housing, health, education and employment programs for homeless women in Washington.

One of Calvary’s Corporate Partners, The QED Group, LLC, joined Calvary for Giving Tuesday. To demonstrate its commitment to empowering women at Calvary, The QED Group, LLC donated $5,000. The firm’s Outreach for Impact Committee provides assistance to select organizations in the tri-state area through a combination of financial contributions, volunteer service, event sponsorships and donation drives.

Jeffrey Singer, CEO and president of The QED Group, LLC, said, “On this Giving Tuesday, QED was honored to continue our support of Calvary Women’s Services. We are proud to contribute to an impactful organization that offers safe haven for women in need. As an international development company, QED is committed to making a difference globally and locally. QED works in over 15 countries by improving economic, political and social conditions in countries, communities and households.”

Giving Tuesday inspires people to give back in impactful ways to charities and causes they support. The event began in 2012 and was first organized by 92Y – a cultural center in New York City that brings people together around its core values of community service and giving back.
