5 Ways to Support Calvary in March

Jump into March with Calvary Women’s Services as we share opportunities for you to support our mission! From becoming a Partner for Tomorrow to donating to our Restoring Hope Campaign to celebrating Women’s History Month with Calvary, there are ways for everyone to get involved this month.

Want to make an impact in the lives of women year-round? Our Partners for Tomorrow program unites a dedicated group of donors who financially support the women at Calvary Women’s Services each month. Generous donors give anywhere from $10 to $500 every month to meet the tangible needs of our community.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, all donors who join Partners for Tomorrow between March 4-8 will be able to send an e-card to a woman who has made an impact in their life! You can empower women every month by giving here.

Calvary Women’s Services is recuperating from the damages caused by the January 18th gas explosion that occurred next to our Good Hope transitional housing site. Our building suffered substantial water and smoke damage, which will require extensive repairs. This traumatic event also displaced 36 women who called Good Hope home. Women have been safely relocated to alternative housing sites, but we need your support as we rebuild and continue serving our community.

Now, The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation have partnered with Calvary and are matching up to $20,000 in donations to our Restoring Hope campaign! You can double your impact to support even more women today. With your gift we will restore our building, continue our programs, and meet women’s needs as they work to rebuild their lives and end their homelessness for good. You can donate to Restore Hope by clicking here.

Calvary’s annual Hope Gala is taking place April 25, 2024! Tickets are available now to join Calvary in The Schuyler at the Hamilton Hotel as we celebrate hope, community, growth, and four decades of incredible accomplishments – all made possible thanks to your unwavering support. Learn more and purchase tickets here.

Looking for more ways to support the Hope Gala? Each year dozens of individual and corporate partners sponsor this event to make it our largest fundraiser of the year. If you or your organization are interested in becoming an event sponsor, please reach out to Lisa Buchs, Director of Institutional Giving, via email (lbuchs@calvaryservices.org).

Another way to get involved in this year’s Hope Gala is to donate items or experiences for our silent and live auctions. This part of Calvary’s fundraiser allows attendees to bid on unique meals, tickets to sporting events or concerts, trips to the beach or mountains, signed merchandise from celebrities, and more – with proceeds directly supporting women who are working to end their homelessness for good.

If you have an item or experience that you would like to donate, please contact Emily Kubera, Development Associate, via email (ekubera@calvaryservices.org) today.

You can make memories and make an impact this March by hosting a fundraising event in honor of Women’s History Month. You can donate proceeds from your favorite fitness class, host a wine tasting, or put together a Brown Bag lunch at your place of work to raise awareness of our work to support women.

Hosting a fundraiser at your office, church, or club in honor of the month or International Women’s Day on March 8th is another fantastic way of supporting women ending their homelessness for good at Calvary! Contact Allison Kraemer (akraemer@calvaryservices.org) for additional event support.

Calvary needs volunteers to provide warm, nutritious meals to women in our programs in March. These meals are an essential part of our mission to ensure that women can focus on transforming their lives while eating healthy. Our New Foundations and Reach Up program are both in need of one-time meal drop-offs and reoccurring volunteers to provide meals each month.

This is a great activity for your family, friends, coworkers, or congregation! You can sign up to be a meal volunteer by clicking here.
