Sarai’s Story | A New Beginning at Calvary Women’s Services

We’re excited to finally share this with you.

“I was doing all I could to survive, but surviving is not the same as living.”

Sarai said those words as she reflected on the three years, she spent experiencing homelessness before coming to Calvary Women’s Services.

Today, Sarai has her own apartment, a job she loves, and a new sense of what is possible. After nearly ten years away from the workforce, she has already moved into a leadership role and is thinking about what comes next, including earning her bachelor’s degree, pursuing a Project Management certification, and even thinking about starting her own business.

We are so proud of her and grateful that we get to share more of her journey with you:

This mini-documentary was created by two incredible volunteer videographers, Eunice and Lois Shin, who generously gave their time and talent to help tell Sarai’s story.

Sarai’s story is a powerful reminder of what is possible because people like you choose to stand alongside women as they work toward stability, independence, and the future they envision.

Make a gift to Calvary Women’s Services. Your gift will empower more women to take the next steps in their own journeys.
