2012 Holiday Give Back

hgb photos

Last Thursday, Calvary supporters joined members of Congress and business leaders at a special holiday reception to support Calvary’s programs.

Guest enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks and Executive Director Kris Thompson spoke about the exciting move to our new home in Anacostia.  We are also grateful to special guests Congressman Richard Hanna, Congressman Ed Perlmutter, and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, who joined us at the Holiday Give Back.

With the help of our supporters and sponsors, the event raised $25,000 to support women at Calvary’s programs.  As we welcome home more women this holiday season at our new building on Good Hope Road, these gifts will ensure that they have a safe home, healthy meals, educational programs, supported employment opportunities and more –  this holiday season and throughout the year.

We would also like to thank our generous Holiday Give Back sponsors Altria Group Inc., Expedia Inc., General Dynamics C4 Systems, International Council of Shopping Centers, Nelnet, Republican Main Street Partnership, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. We are also grateful to the event co-chairs Adam Hemphill, Sam Marchio, James Norton, Lawrence Young, and Sara Chamberlain for their support.
