Goodbye from Jaclyn

I am writing this on my last day at Calvary Women’s Services. I just wanted to say one last thank you to all of Calvary’s donors, volunteers and, of course, the women who call Calvary home.

As I’ve said before on this blog, I’ve lived in DC for a few years now, and it never really felt like home until I came to Calvary. This is a truly remarkable organization, and I am honored to have worked here. Each and every day over the past year and three months that I have been at Calvary I became more and more amazed by the kindness and generosity of our supporters, and inspired by the spirit of the women we serve.

When I said goodbye to my boss she said, “I know we’ll see you soon. No one ever leaves Calvary for good!” And you know what? She’s right. I already know I will be back volunteering, spending overnights at the shelter, and walking in the Help the Homeless Walkathon… and I haven’t even walked out the door yet!

As I move on to a new chapter of my life, I will never forget Calvary and all of the kind people that I have met here. Thank you for reading about us here on the blog, for supporting our various community endeavors, and for giving me this wonderful opportunity! I hope you all will continue to follow Calvary Comments and support the incredible work Calvary Women’s Services does every day. Thank you!
