“Share a Haircut” on February 1 and 2

If you are looking for the perfect excuse to get a haircut next week, feel free to use this! Hair Cuttery salons all over the DC metro region will donate free haircuts to individuals who are homeless through its “Share-A-Haircut” program. On February 1 and 2, every haircut purchased will be matched by a haircut certificate that is donated to someone in the community who is experiencing homelessness.

Calvary Women’s Services is just one of many programs in the DC region that will receive free haircut certificates that will be distributed to clients. It may seem like a small thing, but a fresh haircut can provide women with the confidence they need to say yes to an important job interview. Last year, Calvary Women’s Services received enough certificates for every woman in our programs to take advantage of this chance to look and feel more like themselves.

Since 1999, Hair Cuttery’s “Share-A-Haircut” program has provided free haircuts not only to homeless individuals and their families, but also veterans and survivors of domestic violence. Over the last 17 years, Hair Cuttery has donated more than $25 million worth of haircut certificates.
