Calvary Captain Countdown – 19 days

Wasfi Alnabki will be participating in his first Walkathon this year, and so far he’s off to an amazing start! Wasfi serves as the Industry Vice Chair at ACT-IAC Volunteer – and he has already gotten together an amazing group of ACT-IAC volunteers to walk on behalf of Calvary this year!

He first heard about Calvary through a colleague who was on Calvary’s Board. Wasfi told us, “I was touched by the level of focus and dedication Calvary resources give to the program and their clients.” Now, as of October 1st, Wasfi is a member of the Calvary Board himself. Something you may not guess about Calvary’s newest Board member? He has one guilty pleasure… reality television!

With November 20th right around the corner, Wasfi is excited about “rallying up the team to raise awareness and funds to support the wonderful local and national organizations that deal with the issue of homelessness in the US.”

Visit the ACT-IAC Volunteer Corps Walkathon team page to see their team’s progress!

If you haven’t signed up yet, please join Wasfi and the rest of Calvary’s Team for the Walkathon: www.helpthehomelessdc.org
