Gratitude in Every Box: Hogan Lovells’ 15-Year Tradition Brightens Thanksgiving at Calvary Women’s Services

Thanksgiving at Calvary Women’s Services is a beacon of joy and gratitude, thanks to a cherished holiday tradition.

Last Friday, the spirit of giving thrived as Hogan Lovells generously delivered over 80 Thanksgiving boxes to the women in Calvary’s programs! Employees from Hogan Lovells, one of the world’s top law firms advising on corporate, finance, litigation, regulatory and IP law, have been creating and delivering Thanksgiving boxes for women at Calvary for over 15 years.

Each box, hand-decorated by Hogan Lovells employees and their loved ones, was filled with everything the women need to create a Thanksgiving feast. The boxes included canned and boxed goods, beverages, cutlery, and a gift card for purchasing any additional supplies the women may need to have a memorable meal with family and friends.

As box upon box were stacked high, the display served as a symbol of the community of Calvary supporters, who have dedicated themselves to empowering women to transform their lives and end their homelessness for good.

Boxes were sorted and divided to be distributed among the women at Calvary’s programs by their case managers. As members of the Calvary team came to pick up boxes to give to the women, the mood was filled with gratitude and hope. Our team is always grateful for supporters who come alongside us in our mission to empower women to end their homelessness for good.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Hogan Lovells team for their amazing work curating, decorating, and delivering these fantastic Thanksgiving boxes year after year. Their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of women experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC is truly inspiring.
